Tonya was born in Connecticut where she attended school until the age of 16. At that time her parents moved back to Maine where they were from and where Tonya has always called home. She graduated from Wells High School in 1983, where she remained until 1995. From 1995 to 2014 she lived with her husband Scott in Turner Maine and worked at one of the largest Mental Health Agencies in the state. In 2001 Scott decided to go back to school and work toward a degree. Six months later Tonya decided to do the same. Tonya graduated from Central Maine Community College, with a perfect 4.0 GPA in 2008 and an Associates Degree in Business.
She and her husband Scott are also professional musicians and have been performing together for nearly 30 years. When still in Maine, they also included their youngest son Brandon into the music mix.
In 2014, after Scott’s second heart attack they decided it was time to do something different. The children were grown and on their own making their own lives. Scott & Tonya decided to do something crazy! They sold or gave away most of their belongings and bought and RV and hit the road.
Tonya became inspired while working for a summer season in Mount Carmel Utah, just 12 miles outside of Zion National Park. She began painting landscapes and has not stopped. Because they live in an RV (very limited space) and the sheer number of paintings she had been creating, Tonya decided that she should see how she would do at selling them at the different locations we go. As they say, the rest is history.
